"It Looks Like Rain" - Subjecting clear window glass to temperature changes & cooling within a kiln, resulted in my Artwork with the appearance of rain. Lacking rain in the San Francisco Bay area is a concern.
“Holding the Land Together” - I used a wine bottle glass to achieve the nuances of green representing the earth. Clear window glass is above representing the sky. The Black opaque glass that looks like a barrette, is glued to hold the sections of earth together.
“Hummingbird Over The Ocean” - Hummingbirds have an incredibleness in knowing to pollinate for the good of others. Imagine if the human species solely would do that?
“Pallete Of Movement” - I imagine the stillness a visual Artist has when centered, creating a work of Art. Movement above is achieved by cutting apart and rearranging a Stained glass piece that has swirls. It was kiln-fired and glued to the palette. Also glued to the palette is a piece of window glass that was frosted with frit (fine powder glass), kiln fired to look like paths. The various small bead-like shapes glued within and outside the paths represent the movement of people.
“Sol Delight of Stripes and Holes” - Though there are two distinct sections, various colors of opaque glass pieces were kiln-fired at a temperature hot enough to allow for melding. The process I used also caused the holes.
