Sheila Muxlow, the Associate Director of Indigenous Climate Action, describes herself as a “queer, cis-femme, white settler born and raised on the territories of the Ts’elxwéyeqw’ Tribe of the Sto:lo Nation.” She came to racial justice work during her time as a student at the University of Ottawa studying International Development and Globalization, and, bearing witness to the harms caused by white supremacy, she has strived to be an organizer for social justice and an ally seeking to uplift Indigenous leadership.
