First Descent Youth Paddler

Taeliah Eggsman, 16, an enrolled Klamath and Modoc tribal member from Chiloquin, Oregon, who was exposed to kayaking with the Rios to Rivers organization as a child, was a participant in the historic, 310-mile “first descent” of the newly (almost) undammed Klamath River by young Indigenous kayakers from a number of tribes in the region.
